After the procedure
Do not be afraid if you find it harder to pronounce some sounds. The basic adaptation period for the mouth and face can last up to 2 weeks.
Prophylactic visit and result.
- A control examination is required after 2 weeks.
- During filling, the teeth were isolated from moisture, so they dried out and changed their colour. 2 weeks after filling, the teeth absorb moisture and change colour, gums are healing. Therefore, it is very important to come for a control examination and polishing of fillings, because only after 2 weeks the final result of aesthetic filling will be visible.
Care
Oral hygiene
Toothpaste. Use toothpaste with little or no abrasive substances, i.e. its RDA should be <50.
Toothbrush. Choose only a soft (soft) or very soft (ultra-soft) one. Ultrasonic toothbrushes are also recommended.
Other means. Use interdental cleaners, a single-tooth brush, and clean your tongue. Use other means according to the recommendations of a specialist.
All the dental care products you need can be purchased in our clinic.
The following toothpastes are not recommended:
- Bleaching agents that contain highly abrasive substances and scratch the surfaces of aesthetic fillings.
- With chlorhexidine. They cause dark plaque.
- With herbs and soda. Using them, aesthetic fillings lose their gloss and can begin to accumulate pigment plaque.
Prophylactic visits
- Perform professional oral hygiene every 6 months or according to the recommendations of the specialist.
- Visit the dentist every year for a teeth polishing procedure.
Food and drink
- Due to the abundant consumption of colouring food products and smoking aesthetic restoration, pigment plaque can accumulate. It is recommended to moderately consume such food products as coffee, tea, red wine, berries, curry.
- Avoid biting very hard food products and substances (e.g.: fruit pits, baked bread, etc.).
Other information:
- If you grit your teeth or sharply occlude, it is necessary to wear special protective splints during sleep.
- If aesthetic fillings have split, discoloured, another damage has occurred or the teeth have become sensitive – contact a dentist as soon as possible.
