Dental implantation is a possibility to recover lost teeth. This treatment can restore not only the tooth crown but also the root. Implantation is not a painful procedure – usually, local anaesthesia is enough to screw in the implant. Dental implantation is applied when one or more teeth have been lost.

In cases where there have been no one or more teeth for a longer period, the bone begins to melt in that area. Therefore, sometimes it is impossible to perform dental implantation immediately – bone augmentation is necessary.

Healing after the dental implantation

Threaded implants usually heal within 2 to 4 months. On fully healed implants, a permanent dental crown can be screwed on. Until the implants are fully healed, it is possible to place a temporary crown that fully restores aesthetic and chewing function.
